I rarely do things that scare me. I'm a comfort-zone person. I've decided though that it's time for me to ditch the comfort and open myself up to new experiences. Yesterday, I did something really scary. I stood up in front of a group of people (who are currently doing this course at AAA School of Advertising) and presented a little talk on what I've learnt about blogging. This might not seem very scary to you but it's terrifying for me because I have the most humoungous tiniest fear of public speaking. In fact, I'm an extremely shy lil' lady.
If you know me, this is where you'll stop and wonder how I'm able to be a teacher when I don't like to talk to crowds. I teach teeny-tiny people. Big people are something different entirely.
I knew that if I didn't get up there and do it, I would really regret it. And after actually doing it I can honestly say I feel so amazingly good about myself for going through with it. I also realised that I have so much to share about my blogging experience that people might learn from.
The advice that I'm trying to dish out to you on this rainy Friday is to follow Eleanor Roosevelt's advice and "Do one thing everyday that scares you". It's not easy but it's so worth it.
